This year’s Humanitarian Gala was held at the MAC at Monmouth University on Friday, April 24th, 2015 and attended by nearly 350 people. It was a fabulous fundraiser that included a live acoustic performance by country star John Rich, all in support of our mission to alleviate hunger and build food secure communities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Our 2015 Humanitarians are: Jules Plangere, Jr., Chairman, Press Communications, LLC, Wegmans, Kyra Citron, Jr. Humanitarian and St. Francis Community Center, Partner Agency.
The “Boots and Bling” theme had attendees dressed country chic, with cowboy hats and boots galore. John Rich performed for 90 minutes and even auctioned off his hat, guitar and a chance to share a drink with him at his very own home bar in Nashville.
The FoodBank would like to thank all the sponsors, auction donors and volunteers who helped out with planning, set-up and breakdown and a special thank you to Monmouth University, who were great hosts. See y’all next year!
