Neptune, NJ – The 19th annual “Springsteen on Sunday” All-Request Show hosted by Tom Cunningham on 107.1 The Boss (WWZY-FM) brought the community together for a morning of music and philanthropy at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como to support Fulfill, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Listeners and attendees had the opportunity to donate $25 or more to request their favorite Bruce Springsteen songs during the live broadcast. The show raised over $1,600, and with a generous matching gift from the Grunin Foundation, the total surpassed $3,200. This support will help Fulfill continue providing comprehensive services to fight hunger in the region.
“It’s a privilege to support Fulfill for the 19th year with ‘Springsteen on Sunday,’” said Tom Cunningham, who was honored by Fulfill with its Humanitarian Award in 2023. “Hosting this fundraiser is always a highlight of my year. After all this time, Fulfill’s mission remains as meaningful to me as ever. I love that we can bring music and joy to people while supporting families in Monmouth and Ocean Counties who are facing food insecurity. All of us at 107.1 The Boss remain committed to this most worthy cause.”
The show also featured a special performance from BEATLES tribute band The Weeklings, and an interview with Fulfill’s President and CEO, Triada Stampas.
“At this moment, Monmouth and Ocean County neighbors are relying on our services more than ever in Fulfill’s 40-year history. We’re thrilled to see the community rally around our mission by supporting this fundraiser,” said Stampas. “I am so very grateful to our friend Tom Cunningham for sharing his platform with us and our message with his audience. Every year, this fundraiser offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, have fun, listen to some great music and provide nourishment and services to our neighbors in need.”
The special three-hour edition of the show will play back all requests on Sunday, December 1 starting at 8 a.m. on 107.1 The Boss (WWZY-FM).
