The Cedar Stars Academy hosted its first annual Holiday Donation Drive this year for their local food bank, Fulfill! The club’s teams were challenged to come together and raise donations, which went directly to Fulfill in an effort to feed families in need. With the holiday season just around the corner, these contributions play a large role in ensuring that hungry families in the community have a holiday meal. Raising more than $1,900 and four crates of food, the Academy’s’ first effort was a huge success!
“Our club mission focuses on developing successful individuals, both on and off the field,” Cedar Stars Academy president George Altirs said. “By organizing the Holiday Donation Drive with Fulfill, we were able to provide our players with an opportunity to give back to the community.”
And give back you have, Cedar Stars! With the food and funds collected, we are able to provide a total of 6,400 meals for which we offer many thanks and appreciation. “We love it when the community comes together to help our neighbors in need,” said Judy Daniels, Fulfill Community Engagement Coordinator. “We depend on food and fund donations all year round, but they are especially appreciated during the holidays when families gather around the table.”
Great job Cedar Stars, your sparkling efforts have been greatly appreciated!
