Jersey Shore Restaurants and Local Teams Will Compete to be the First Ever CHOP HUNGER Champion During Restaurant Week
Fulfill (formerly The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties) is excited to team up with Joe Leone’s Italian Specialties and Johnson’s Restaurant Equipment for the first annual “Chop Hunger” Competition, this Monday, November 4th, at Doolan’s Shore Club in Spring Lake Heights from 6 to 9 pm.
Among the judges… Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2019 Ava Tortorici of Montclair, New Jersey Senator Vin Gopal, and 101.5 FM Radio Talk Show Host Eric Scott with the “Foodie Fridays” segment. A judge’s seat will be raffled off at the competition to a lucky winner!
“The night of great food, drinks, friendly competition, and dancing to Brian Kirk and the Jirks will be hosted by my friend, Celebrity Chef Joe Leone as the Master of Ceremonies. We look forward to having fun, sampling the final dishes, and more importantly, raising much needed funds to feed the 136,000 neighbors we serve in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 50,000 of them children,” said Fulfill CEO and President Kim Guadagno, New Jersey’s First Lieutenant Governor.
Five teams will prepare a dish (to be announced at the event) in this “Chopped” style LIVE competition. There will be teams from Caneda’s White Rooster in Toms River, My Kitchen Witch in Monmouth Beach, and Bayonne Community Bank. The Student Government Association at Monmouth University is also putting on their chef’s hats along with a team from Brookdale Community College.
