For the past 10 years, Medtronic has dedicated the holiday season to giving back and engaging the community. Since the office is in Eatontown’s Industrial Park, they decided the impact would be greater if they engaged not only the vendors and companies that work with them, but also their business neighbors. The idea was to collect as much food and funds, with drop-off boxes at locations all around the surrounding area, as well as mixers, and other networking events. At the end of the campaign, they loaded up their truck and went to FULFILL with their donations. This year, they raised more than $19,000 and 6600 pounds of food, amounting to 62,500 meals!
Over 10 years, this campaign has provided 526,228 meals to our neighbors in need.
To celebrate this anniversary milestone, Medtronic invited all the participants to a celebration held in Fulfill’s distribution center. Companies that were represented included Supreme Security Systems, Main Suites, Hawkswood School, ASPIRE Technology Partners, American Way food store, Sheraton Eatontown, Apex Life Science, MITRE Corporation, and Zimmer Biomet. Each received certificates and gratitude, as well as a tour of the Fulfill facility and a delicious array of food prepared by our Culinary Training Student Alumni.
“We could not be more thrilled to have such wonderful partners who every year seem to outdo the year prior,” says Judy Daniels, Community Engagement Coordinator. “Fulfill is all about Neighbors Helping Neighbors in need so we appreciate the efforts and celebrate the success of their impact on hunger here at home. Food and fund drives are critical this time of year, so we can supply holiday meals to those who would otherwise go without.”
