Bill Mayo of Save A Lot Named to Fulfill Board of Trustees
Neptune, NJ – Fulfill, a leader in alleviating hunger and building food security in Monmouth and Ocean counties, announced Bill Mayo of Save A Lot as the newest member of its Board of Trustees. Mayo previously served on the organization’s board from 2013-2019.
Mayo, an Ocean Township resident, is currently Chief Development Officer and Executive Leadership Team Member at Save A Lot. Mayo’s experience in the food industry includes a tenure of nearly 29 years at Wakefern Food Corp., the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the U.S., where he rose to the senior management role of Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining Wakefern, Mayo worked in logistics for the energy and oil corporation, Hess.
Mayo serves on the Saint Joseph’s Academy of Food Marketing Board, the William Paterson University College of Business Advisory Council and on other food industry-specific boards.
“I’m so pleased to welcome Bill back to our board, especially as we celebrate our 40th year of service,” said Lauren Holman, Fulfill Board Chair. “We look forward to hearing from Bill, a food-industry expert, as we seek to identify more ways to extend our reach and help feed more area residents in need.”
“At a time when we are purchasing food at unprecedented levels to serve unprecedented numbers of neighbors facing hunger, we are so fortunate to have Bill return to our board,” said Triada Stampas, Fulfill President and CEO. “With his previous service to Fulfill, his deep industry knowledge and his demonstrated commitment to the community, he has so much to contribute to our mission as we undertake an expansion of our warehouse, and the need for food, donations and volunteers continues to rise.”
