Fulfill’s 2026 Capacity Building Grant Program supports emergency food programs serving residents in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The grant is designed to help organizations strengthen their operational and technical infrastructure so they can serve more people, provide more nutritious food, improve food safety, and operate more effectively.
Funding is made possible through the State of New Jersey’s Food & Hunger Program.
Eligible organizations providing emergency food assistance in Monmouth or Ocean County are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) public charity, an organization wholly owned by a public charity, or a faith-based organization serving individuals experiencing food insecurity or related hardship. Per a State of New Jersey requirement for this grant, organizations that previously received an award through Fulfill’s FY2026 (July 1, 2025 -June 30, 2026) Capacity Building Grant Program are not eligible to receive an additional award under this funding opportunity. Eligible requests may include food purchases, infrastructure upgrades, technology, cold storage, food safety tools, equipment, and other capacity-building needs that improve an organization’s ability to serve neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Important Application Note
Applicants must submit a complete application by the deadline. Applications may be considered incomplete and may not be reviewed if required responses or required supporting documentation are missing.
Applicants must provide three price quotes or cost estimates from different vendors or sources for each requested food item, equipment, and other items and services. Cost estimates may include vendor quotes, invoices, website pricing, screenshots, written estimates, or other documentation supporting the anticipated cost.
