Since 1984, Fulfill has been fighting hunger, supporting our neighbors in need, and strengthening the communities of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. With wide-ranging programs and services, Fulfill is more than a food bank. It is a testament to the power of collective action against hunger, and of the positive impact of offering comprehensive resources that address systemic barriers and serve as a beacon of hope.

Going forward, Fulfill wants to realize its unwavering vision of a vibrant, resilient community that ensures our neighbors’ food security needs are fulfilled. In order to do that, we need not only more food, but also the space and equipment to store and transport it.

We never want to turn away a hungry person for lack of food, and we never want to turn away food donations for the lack of an adequate warehouse and refrigeration.

As we enter our fifth decade of fighting hunger and improving lives in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Fulfill is taking a bold step forward by launching an ambitious yet achievable $27 million campaign to strengthen our commitment to ensuring everyone in our community has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.

Deepening Hunger and Increasing Response

In 2024 alone, Fulfill responded to the increasing needs in our community in the following ways:

108,000 VISITS EVERY MONTH at Monmouth and Ocean food pantries in the Fulfill network; the most ever, doubling pre-pandemic levels.
Our nearly 300 partner feeding agencies served 14.3 MILLION MEALS.
Fulfill’s child nutrition programs provided 332,000 NOURISHING MEALS & SNACKS to underserved children.
Mobile pantries delivered food to 318,000 PEOPLE, including seniors and veterans.

Behind all those numbers are the real people of all ages who are going without. As daunting as the statistics are, Fulfill has been making a powerful and positive difference – but we know there is much more to do, and we have a thoughtful plan to do it.

Filling the Healthy Food Gap

The goals of the Path to Plenty campaign are to:

>> Increase our ability to store and distribute fresh food with an expanded warehouse and refrigeration space
>> Improve ways to provide fresh food to our network of pantries, shelters and soup kitchens
>> Provide more cold storage at our partner feeding agencies so they can store and distribute ready-to-eat frozen meals and more nutritious food
>> Retain and grow our volunteer base through a more welcoming and collaborative experience

Expanding Our Warehouse and Investing in Food Distribution & Programs

This will enable Fulfill to provide more healthy food to more people by:

Increasing fresh produce, protein and dairy by 2.2 million pounds to > than 70% of our total distribution
Increasing food donations from retailers and our community by 35% or 1,888,277 pounds
Increasing cold storage by 289%, from 2,645 square feet to 7,633 square feet
