When you walk into Fulfill’s Distribution Center in Neptune, you will see some unusual looking towers with vegetables growing out of them. Welcome to the world of Hydroponic Towers – now giving a whole new meaning to indoor gardening!
Each Garden Tower can grow 20 heads of lettuce per month while using 98% less water than traditional agriculture. The towers provide artificial lighting and organic fertilizer. Produce can grow 30% faster and in a limited space.
So far, Fulfill has grown broccoli and bibb lettuce in the Garden Tower for people in need. A special thanks to The John Ben Snow Memorial Trust for funding this program.
