In July 2026, more than 100 community leaders and stakeholders from across Southern Ocean County came together for Together at the Table: Mobilizing for Food Security to explore how the community can work together differently to address food insecurity and improve access to healthy food. The convening brought together perspectives from food providers, healthcare, government, philanthropy, business, faith communities, and other sectors to identify shared challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions. The resulting reports capture what participants heard, identified, and committed to, highlighting key themes including coordination, transportation and geographic access, resident-centered solutions, and cross-sector partnership. Together, these findings provide a foundation for continued collaboration and the development of a more connected, equitable, and responsive food security system in Southern Ocean County.
